Like Serendipity, this property is located on the Glebe Estate which lies in the lee of
Ballard Down, a chalk ridge extending East to the landmark Old Harry Rocks on the
Jurassic Coast. Elevated above Studland Village the site enjoys far reaching views
across Poole Harbour and North Dorset.

Working with clients from inception, who were enthusiastic that the interior and exterior
form and finishes reflected the structural elements of the timber and steel frame.
The building also embodies sustainable materials sourced locally so far as possible
and energy efficient mechanical systems including solar and air source heating.

EVENING

Shortly before sunset on this summer evening the shadows are cast almost
horizontally across the North-facing terrace and undulating farmland to the West.

THE LIVING ROOM OPENS ONTO THE NORTH TERRACE AND
INFINITY EDGED PLUNGE-POOL.

LOOKING NORTH FROM THE SUN-ROOM
_______________________________________________________________

Behind the camera is the Sun-room, in front is the kitchen and beyond, the living area
and Poole Harbour in the distance. The kitchen range is built into the limed oak units
against the back of the Purbeck stone chimney; ceramic flooring with underfloor
heating is continuous throughout the space as is the bleached softwood structural frame.

FROM THE KITCHEN IS THE SUN-ROOM AND BEYOND, TO THE
SOUTH-WEST, IS BALLARD DOWN DESIGNATED AN AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY.
