The horizontal roof planes are echoed by landscaped terraces paved in flame-textured Jura 
limestone and by reflecting pools set in rough hewn local Purbeck stone which descend 
through the site. Into one terrace, is set a twelve metre lap pool.

The property is set in a conservation area, characterised by substantial houses dating 
from the turn of the last century, only glimpsed through the pines and rhododendrons which

ten minutes walk from the house.

Either side of the front door are projecting wings clad in unfilled travertine limestone. 
Internal walnut joinery and panelling are set off against windows of bronze-anodised
aluminium and polished limestone floors.

south-facing windows and minimising energy consumption.
